“Through Tori I understood that songs have a life of their own. I don’t think it’s strange or funny that she’s talking to them. And if it’s weird, so be it. In a lovely and lovable way. I guess for Tori fans it is almost normal that a song comes to us when it chooses to. And often enough it is just the right time. They are beings without a body, souls made of sonic energy. I even leave out the quotation marks because the song titles are - to me - their real names. And I never want to miss Cooling, the Dutchman, Winter, Precious, Fearlessness or Carry (and all the other girls).”
